Barbara Alexander, M.D.

Dr. Alexander's clinical skills and interests are related to infectious complications occurring in immunocompromised hosts, particularly solid organ and bone marrow transplant recipients. Her research is directed towards clinical trials for the purpose of investigating new anti-microbial agents, developing rapid diagnostic assays for fungal infections, and establishing the epidemiology of infections in these populations.
